I know it seems I’ve run into a bit of bad luck recently, but I believe we make our own luck.  Ambling down the Gibb River Road, I received a phone call from the same person who suggested I go visit Captain John.  Did the warning lights and bells sound?  Yes!  Did I heed them?  No!  I had hooked up with a strange couple to share Gibb River Road travel expenses and I needed to get out right away, so I took down the address in Derby and headed that way.  To make a long story short, I didn’t get paid in full for the work I did, and ended up in the Derby Women’s Shelter.  I must say, the ladies in the shelter are so kind and helpful and I am still in touch with them.

Additionally, I met a lovely lady during this journey whose real name is Victory, Fair Dinkum!  We examined the last nine months  leading to the culmination of me landing in a Women’s Shelter.   It seemed that it was a combination of needing to leave one situation; therefore, making a decision I wouldn’t have normally made and getting myself into another not so great situation if other options were available, and ignoring my intuition.Fortuanately, things have turn
