Victoria, Canada is a beautiful city with historic grandeur. My mother and I stand in front of the massive legislative building for the Capital City of British Columbia.

On the lawn of the legislative building is a gorgeous totem pole called the Knowledge Totem from the native tribes. My sister pleaded to…

…go on a carriage ride through the park. She and my mother had driven carriages in Old Sacramento.

The park was designed to keep 25% of the land natural as a preserve for native wildlife. The drought left a dry natural landscape while the rest of the park was filled with families enjoying the pretty green parts of the park.

Not surprisingly, my sister had to show love and appreciation for the fine animal who took us around the park.

We appreciated viewing The Empress, a world famous hotel, which features turn of the century architecture.

We enjoyed Victoria so much that we had to run back to catch our ride and got there just in time.
